when they can consume chocolate....they always say that you shouldnt have chocolate when youre pregnant so wouldnt that mean it would kill the baby?
i would think that abortions are more painful. is it because chocolate causes you to give birth to a dead baby and abortion keeps you from having to give birth at all?

just a question from me an inquisitive person.......

i realize that i worded it wrong cuz i did NOT say that it killed babies....i thought it might since babies were so tiny fragile and too much caffeine can cause adrenaline, maybe leading to a heart attack? thats what i was getting at.
well somehow adrenaline must be really bad because alot of things can kill a person. i was in a manic alot of stuff can kill you mode i guess.

Your mother may not have been able to have chocolate with you due to gestational diabetes.

As for chocolate... my little girl goes crazy in my tummy when I have the smallest amount. She *loves* it.

As for abortion methods... there are "herbal" ways to induce abortions, but I am not knowledgable of them, and someone interested in such a path would have to do a fair amount of research before making that decision. I'd say the same for a medical abortion as well.

I don't think you put a lot of thought into that question before you asked it.

It may not be wise to eat a lot of chocolate when you are pregnant because of the calories, sugar and caffeine - but its not going to kill a baby.

If a baby dies in the uterus, a woman will either have a miscarriage or the doctor has to deliver it - most likely in an abortion type manner. With an abortion, they either give you a few pills with makes you miscarry - or they put a surgical instrument inside your uterus and scrape and vacuum the embryo/fetus and other tissues out.

Both having a miscarriage or an abortion are painful - but giving birth is much more painful, whether the baby is living or not... giving birth is EXTREMELY painful!

And yes - I agree with the others - people should use birth control to not get pregnant in the first place, especially if they are not in the place to take care of the child.

Are you SERIOUS?
If consuming chocolate during pregnancy caused you to give birth to a dead baby, I'd have sadly buried three babies in 6 1/2 yrs. And Heaven help my daughter & HER baby...she's 18 wks pregnant and her biggest craving is CHOCOLATE MILK!

I thought one of the questions I read earlier was the most ridiculous one I'd seen all day, but this one has that one beat by a long shot.

My question would be: why do people who don't want to have a baby have UNPROTECTED SEX in the first place? Also, why do those same people who end up pregnant not choose adoption instead? I'll tell you why: because it's an inconvenience to them; it's easier for them to murder a developing baby than it would be for them to spend nine months carrying a child who would bring so much joy to so many couples who can't have their own children.

Chocolate causing miscarriages/stillbirths...I don't know whether to laugh at that ridiculous belief or be angered by it!

Chocolate, like many other foods and drinks, just aren't that great for you when your pregnant. No, this does not cause you to kill the baby. Abortion is a chosen way to stop being pregnant. I do not know why people choose to abort their babies. Children are wonderful and a gift to be loved and cherished every day. I guess some people feel they have no other options. I don't know if an abortion is more painful since I've never had one,but I believe it would be painful.

consuming chocolate doesn't harm the baby sweetie. some people use abortions as a form of birth control instead of using pills, shots or condoms etc. not to get pregnant in the first place. everyone has a personal opinion on abortions and on contraceptives. me personally i would use some form of birth control to not get pregnant in the first place if i'm not ready for kids.

Unless you are giving birth to a dog, chocolate is fine in moderation because it is a lot of empty calories and fat. Eat healthy and exercise. Otherwise, go have an abortion because if you are really serious about this question, you shouldn´t reproduce to begin with.

Not sure where you are getting your chocolate information... but it is just not true.

I craved chocolate when I was pregnant.. ate a huge bar every day. I put on a lot more weight than perhaps I should have but my child was perfect - IQ over 155 - no problems at all.

As another answerer says dogs should not be given chocolate as it is poisonous for them.

Where the hell did you hear that chocolate causes stillborns/miscarriages?

**Edit**

Seriously? What do you mean by 'they' always say you shouldn't have chocolate when your pregnant.
Perhaps your confusing this with dogs shouldnt be given chocolate.
I don't actually like chocolate but had major cravings for it when I was pregnant and gave birth to a beautifully healthy baby.

not addressing the question of whether chocolates can indeed kill a baby, abortion is the easier way out, and according to steven levitt, the most economically and socially wise decision if you're not ready to raise a child.

Either way, if chocolates are toxic to babies, surgical abortion and forced miscarriage are still both under the abortion category.

Whoever told you that chocolate causes a fetus to die was wrong... VERY WRONG....
May I suggest using the wide web to find out FACTS before asking such questions.
