Nope, all of the cavs are equipped with passlock2. This is exactly the reason they are equipped as the sensor in the cylinder assembly has to see the correct voltage on an ignition cylinder event or the rotation of the cylinder which sends this voltage to the PCM to say it is a valid key. Trying to start the car without this electronic handshake is to set off the internal security of the electronics which disables different components depending upon the design like the starter circuit, the fuel pump circuit or even the primary ignition circuits. You will either have to find the key codes that are usually written down by the original dealer on the warranty book or the purchase contract. The selling dealers usually keep records of the key codes for just such an event. Contact them to see if they have the information to get the proper key cut. Good luck.

This will work if the vehicle doesn't have a pass lock sensor. If it does there would be a chip in your key. The only way around this is replacing the pass lock/cylinder with new keys. The other option it to contact any GM dealership with proper ID and proof of ownership they can cut you a new key for your vehicle. This would be the best option.
