The Bull Temple - The awesome monolithic deity in this temple, Nandi, draws devotees from all over the Nandi Statue at Bull Templecountry. One of the oldest temples in Bangalore situated in Basavanagudi and dedicated to Nandi, the mount of lord Shiva. This 4.5 meters tall and six meters long monolithic bull is supposed to be older than the temple housing it. It is believed that the source of the river Vishva Bharti originates at the feet of the statue.

ISKCON Temple Complex - This temple is an exquisite blend of modern and traditional south Indian temple architecture. The building houses a multi-vision cinema theatre, ten mini computer aided presentation theatres, vedic library and a preaching library. The temple has ISKON Temple Complexvarieties of accommodations to house various types of people, like bramacharis, members, devotees and people taking short term courses offered here. Finally we would like to say that this structure is on of the most beautiful buildings one can ever see. You really have to see it to believe it. St. Mary's Basilica - This Church situated opposite the Russel Market Square was built as a small chapel in St. Mary's Basilica1818 by Abbe Dubois, but was later converted into an ornate Gothic style Church by Rev. L.E.Kleiner. By 1882 a fairly large number of stained glass windows from Paris adorned the Basilica, but were removed during World War II. These were re-restored with great care in 1947. The Church was given the status of a Basilica (then the Sixth in India) in 1973 through a Papal order by Pope John Paul VI. .

BULL TEMPLE-

Dodda Basavana Gudi (the Bull Temple) is situated in the N.R. Colony, Basavanagudi, area of South Bangalore, part of the largest city of the Indian state of Karnataka. The temple is situated inside the boundaries of a park called 'Bugle Rock'. The bull is a sacred Hindu demi-god, known as Nandi; Nandi is a close devotee and attendant of Shiva. Dodda Basavana Gudi is said to be the biggest temple to Nandi in the world. The stone cult image of the bull is continually covered with new layers of butter, benne in the local language of Kannada. There is also a cult image of the elephant-headed Hindu deity Ganesha close by.

Every year on the last Monday and Tuesday of the hindu month of Karthika Maasa a Groundnut fair is held in the temple premisis and groundnut is offered to the deity. This fair is known as 'Kadalekaayi Parishe' in local tongue. Groundnut sellers and devotees throng the place during 'Kadalekaayi Parishe'.

ISKCON TEMPLE -

Situated on Chord road, as part of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is built on a hillock with scenic surroundings. As part of Hare Krishna movement in India, its followers believe that Hindu Lord Krishna is the creator of this world and is central theme of their movement. This temple was established in Bangalore in 1996.

The temple spans across the length of 4-5 football grounds and is quite the sight to see. Massive pillars, very flamboyant idol for worship, laser shows and living quarters, class rooms, yoga centers, dance studios, gift shops and restaurants signify this place of worship. All lot of foreign visitors attend workshops and spiritual programs here.

The annual Rath Yathra, (Chariot Procession) of Krishna and Balrama is attended by thousands of devotees.
