Obstetrician Gynocologist = OBGYN, That's a doctor that specializes in female reproductive. And they delivery babies.

Couple of pointers on her first visit that will confirm that she's pregnant, via urine or blood test. If she is positive, then they will do a vaginal exam (to feel the size of the uterus) and possibly a ultra-sound to look at the stage of the fetus to determine how far along she is. Pregnancy is 40 weeks, that's what their going to tell you. For some online reading about pregnancy go to:

www.baby.com
click on your body
and chose the 0-5 months (and that covers some ?'s she may have about pregnancy and the developing baby) She can sign up and they will send you emails about what your baby should be looking like a different stages of the pregnancy.

Congratulations & best of luck!

Some primary care physicians if they are Family Medicine drs will sometimes take care of a pregnant woman but most leave that to an obstetrician (the field that takes care of pregnant women to the delivery of their baby) and gynecologists.
