While on AD and off base in Germany i was arrested, convicted and given 14 month suspended sentence for larceny. I spent 4 months in jail awaiting trial. No citizens of the US or military were victims in the incident. I have not gone through my court martial case yet cause i recently just got back on base. Am i going to be a federal convict in the States?

Conviction in another country will not mean that you are a criminal in US. You are only a criminal in Germany under its laws and you have a clean record in the US.

you're probably going to have a bad conduct discharge, although you may squeeze out with an admin. that will depend on what type of court martial they have you slated for. "Three levels of courts-martial can be convened depending on the severity of the offense(s): summary (which can confine junior enlisted to up to 30 days), special (which, depending on the charges, can confine an accused up to a year and give a bad-conduct discharge) and general (which, depending on the charges, can sentence an accused to death, life imprisonment and give a bad-conduct or dishonorable discharge)."

if you do time on a federal charge you will have a federal felony record. so there you have it. you fill in the blanks.
