Years ago, I was about to start a new job, when there was a delay on my start date by two weeks. I was going to come up short on my rent by one hundred fifty dollars. I was flat broke and had no one to ask to borrow money from. I had recently began practicing Buddhism, chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" I chanted for the money to come and saw in my mind a hand giving me a check for the money that I needed. Later that same evening I had an idea. I'm a musician and decided to play out on the streets in an attempt to make some of the money. The streets were almost empty. The climate was not favourable to tourists this time of year. After about half an hour or so a man came near and began to listen to me sing and play. He listened quietly for a while. He asked me why I was playing on the streets and not up on a stage. I told him my situation and he wrote me a check for $150 dollars on the spot. He lent the money to me. I started my new job the following week and paid him back within the month. We ended up becoming friends until I eventually relocated to another city. It was one of the most incredible experiences I've had to date. Needless to say, I'm still very much so practicing Buddhism!! Oh, and "Please DO be careful what you wish for!!"

Yes, I've heard of the saying, and yes I wished for something so badly for so many years and yes it came true. It didn't work out the way I wanted, but I still got what I wished for. Makes me a bit more cautious over how badly I wish for something now.. try and take it a bit more casual.. lol

And how might that be? You didn't do too good with the Bush Administration. Why is ben Laden still on the loose? And what the hell were we doing in Iraq? The Recession started while Bush was still in office. It was on his watch this whole mess started. Obama just got stuck with it. He is trying to get us out from under this Health Care mess where more people were going uder because of the costs. One answer here said Iraq was invaded because of WMD? Were they ever found? Please post your source for that. It would be very interesting. I understood that none ever turned up.

Yes I have heard of something like that. My friend said she wished that someone would rear end her car so she could get a new one, and then at the next light it happened! She said it wasn't very fun.

Yes... my cousin called and reported that he regained his religion. I was furious, wondering how he could be so stupid. He wouldn't let me off the phone until I swore to pray, "If there is a God, prove it to me!"..... not something I would recommend!
I cannot write everything that happened here... it is much too long and involved. Plus, I doubt people would believe it anyway. This I will say, however, I'm grateful for my regained faith & spirituality.... BUT I would Not want to go through it all again!!!!!

My Mother used to say this all the time. When I first got into Wicca I found out exactly what it meant. I made a wish for the man who bought my house out from under me to be out of my life, he evicted me. That's just one of several mistakes I made.
)o( Blessed Be!

yes, i was told as a child 'be careful what you wish for because you might just get it', it was usually a warning for not being grateful for what we already have.
