If you want to get close enough to a zebra to try to tame it, you should be ready with a hoof extractor to get it out of your head.
Zebra's are not tameable. Modern horses are long since domesticated and most wild horses now are descended from escaped domestic animals. There are, though, notable exceptions to this and some herds are still found in their natural wild state.

No man have ever succeeded in taming a zebra. No man has ever ridden a zebra. This is because, zebras were never tamed. All domesticated animals were at one time, wild. In stages man tamed animals such as cats, dogs, pigs chickens, horses, etc. However, no man never succeeded to tame a zebra. Thus zebras cannot be ridden.

Many people have tried to break in zebras but this has proven an impossible task because, by some unknown inherited characteristic, zebras do not trust man and refuse to be tamed.

There was a person who lived near me, and this is going to identify where I live because i doubt there was more than one in the world, who used to travel around in a little cart pulled by a zonkey. It was a zebra/donkey. Quite a sight to see.

A zebra is much smaller, though pound for pound is stronger, and they have proven difficult to domestic in the past.

It's ok to ride Zebras in the countryside, but not in towns.
This is because they disappear when you are crossing the road! lol

Because horses have the body structure to support us and they're easier to domesticate.
