I liked what I read on ESPN.com. I can't remember who wrote the article but the Suns ought to go for Garnett. They would have to give up Amare, but the Wolves would have to give up a pick for Stoudemire since Garnett is a little older. Think of this, what if the Suns would have Nash, one of the leagues' brightest up and coming players (Barbosa), a stopper (Raja), an MVP that would be a draw to Duncan (Garnett), an upstoppable rebounding force and underrated defender (Marion) and possibly Acie Law in the draft. WOW!!! If they can't beat the Spurs with that team, they must be cursed!

I moved to phx in 77 and stayed a couple of years...they were manic about their suns and at that time it was the only pro sports franchise in the state...while not a fan of the suns I would always watch to see how they were doing and I'll tell you what, Ive never seen a team that teases their fans so much as the Suns...theyve had bad teams and good teams but never could get over the hump, they were probably best when charles played for them...this current suns team will never win a title...they just dont have that look, they need to put another player in who can defend like crazy inside...even then they arent guaranteed to make a finals , much less win a title...to put it simply...I say no

Ever? in all risk some 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. quickly? i do no longer think of so. Their ageing stars don't get any youthful and that they are in a position to't even win now - i would not be shocked if the Spurs sweep them out of the playoffs right this moment. i do no longer think of the Suns could have the capacity to re-build till after Shaq retires and Nash's settlement runs out (each time it is?). Signing Shaq became of challenge, and on a similar time as he's doing a great job on Duncan (that's why they have been given him), Duncan isn't the guy beating them - Parker and Ginobili are killing Phoenix and Shaq can not do something to end them.

Yes, why not. They're just one critical piece away from winning a championship. And that critical to piece should be a solid defensive player who can defend against Tim Duncan and the other big men in the West. Obviously, Amare can't do it without sacrificing his offensive play. Kurt Thomas is a weak defender and so is Marion. Someone in the mold of a Dennis Rodman is a good fit for the team.

Yes, but not with this group. Amare Stoudemire will continue to be exploited on the defensive end, and their lack of depth always hurts them in the playoffs. Barbosa will be a star, but he disappeared against San Antonio (which, all Suns fans' complaints about officiating and the NBA aside, is a massive reason why they lost). You simply don't win in the NBA without playing defense consistently, and Phoenix doesn't have enough stoppers. They lost Game 6 in the 3rd quarter, when it looked like the Spurs were performing a lay-up drill for about an hour.

Not while Mike D'Antoni is coaching them. He has made critical errors so often that's how he is running his team. He talks about how deep his team is but then goes and plays his starters for 45 or 46 minutes in a short handed game. He does not know when to get the fouls going, either. He should have started Hack -a- Bowen with 10 min to go in game six against the Spurs. The Suns have lots of talent but without the talent being directed in the right direction they will not go any farther than they are going now.

everyone underrates the spurs cause they arent flashy, ok so if you wanna blame it on the supensions what happ in game 1? suns had everone with home court and lost the fist game, ive been reading alot of post about the jazz taking spurs thats the craziest thing ive heard it will be spurs in 5 maybe 6 if they are really lucky, and yes i do think they have a chance at winning the title, they just need more defence, and quit trying to worry about showboating so much, yeah its fun to watch but where did it get them? GONE FISHIN'

Maybe it all depends on them. They actually have all the right pieces in place to win, they just have to play better defense. Also they really let the Spurs get into their head in this series. They have to be tougher mentally in the post season or they will never win no matter how much talent they have. After all look at Dallas.

I think it's a matter of developing their talent a little further. They have, by far, what I feel is the most explosive team in the league. Once they settle on their gameplay and their players (namely Amare) mature a little more, then I think they'll be quite dominant, and yeah, probably get a ring in the future.

As a true Spurs fan, I won't dog the Suns. ****, they put up a hell of a fight, I almost lost hope there for a minute. Yeah, stuff hit the fan, but in the end, just remember, Horry threw Nash into the bleachers.... HAHAHAHAHAHA
