Piatti's in Roseville at the corner of E. Roseville Prkway and Douglas is a nice place.
Also check out The Melting Pot in Rocklin. There's this special romantic booth you can reserve that has a starry looking ceiling. I took my wife there for our anniversary and she loved it. Plus the food is plentiful. Look to spend about $125 tho.

I found San Fransisco to be the most romantic city. Stockton not at all and Sacramento well old Sacramento if you like that type of thing.

Depends on what kind of food youre looking for. Buca Di Beppo is a nice restaurant and for whatever reason ( I think Lady and the Tramp) people seem to associate Italian with romance. Mi Amore'. I think the melting pot is a nice romantic experience. With different fondu-course meals, you will be dining together with the food. Also avaiable are fine wines... This restaurant tends not to be as noisy as Buca which in turn delivers a better conversation.

There is a restaurant in Fair Oaks called the Slocum House. It's been voted most romantic for so many years I lost count. My best friend & a few other friends have had their hubbys propose to them there. It has indoor & outdoor seating & the prices are respectable for the type of climate your getting. the food is very good. Never got a dish I didn't like.
