Condom's and barriers are the most effective external contraceptive around. Pills and implants are hormonal which may increase your chances of getting gall stones or breast cancer. Why worry about this though, EVERYTHING increases your chances of something! I personally have a contraceptive implant in my arm. It lasts for 3 years and you have no periods with it either! Heaven! It's also good because you don't need to take any pills. It doesn't hurt when it's being put it and it's a real godsend!
