Makes the animals restless and depressed. Large birds kept continuously in a confined area without being allowed out to play, pluck their feathers and scream.
Animals like dogs, get poor muscle tone after being kept in a cage repeatedly. Eventually affects walking ability.

No animals should be kept in cages. I also think it is cruel for pet owners to crate their animals while they are gone for the day at work. I have made my mom find someone who will board our dog at their home so she doesn't have to be left in a cage at the kennel, while we are gone for a week. The dog always would act tramatized when we would get her back.
