I would not vote for her.
Though she is a popular entertainer and has done many charitable things, she doesn't listen to other people. She does present her own position clearly, but I don't think she is capable of listening to any else--including advisors, citizens, the leaders of other countries.

I would not vote for her. I have this longstanding principle that the first office you run for should not be President of the United States. That alone, in my mind, was enough to disqualify Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Ralph Nader, Ross Perot, etc. This is, obviously, a highly political office. I think a person ought to have successfully run for and held office, and then run for re-election. Trying to serve a political constituency is much harder than it looks. As a talk show host, Oprah need only please enough fans to get high ratings. She can then forget all the rest of the people who don't like or aren't interested in her show. On the other hand, the President of the United States is president of ALL the people ALL the time.

While I love and appreciate Oprah for what she does and all the charitable causes she contributes to, that doesn't qualify her for president. She is great at what she does and should stick to that. She is already under so much scrutiny, if she ran for president, people couldn't wait to attack her.
Stick to being a talk show host and healing the world. She will have a greater impact by just continuing to do what she does now.

No, she's never been elected to any other office (Congress, Mayor, Governor) nor been a general in the military (like Grant or Eisenhower).
She's a talk show host. What are her credentials?
What if people voted for George Clooney just because he's cute? At least be elected to something first.

I would not vote for Oprah for several reasons:
1. She is African American and female and she would have no chance of winning the more conservative states.
2. She has a troubled past with crack cocaine, abortion and abuse.
3. She is not married.
4. She has no prior political or military experience
For these reasons she would never win a presidential election. If she would run for mayor then maybe I would vote for her.

I'd vote for her as she has built a major media company from scratch (Harpo)- pushed the South African government to open her leadership academy for girls (promoting equity and edcuation) - which she over saw every detail - to include no junkfood and limited cell phones usage to ensure the girls focus on their studies and have a health body to go with a health mind- and she is great at attracting talent and listening to them (a president is only as effective as the information he/she recieves and uses) -

If the only choice was between Hillary & Oprah..then I'd pick Oprah ..otherwise ..I'm not a liberal and Oprah isn't qualified to lead the nation .

I would not. She's a good speaker and relates with a lot of people, but that doesn't qualify her as president. She wouldn't survive the political criticism that comes with being president - another reason why entertainers shouldn't use their power to influence politics.

I would vote for her.
She is a truly amazing woman and a hero to many. Including myself.
She is smart, beautiful, talented, down to Earth, and she has a good sense of humor.
Oh! And a great show x)
I think she would be a great leader.
She is honest and humble.

Since the woman has no control of her eating(that's why she had to have her stomach stapled), I am sure she would have to have her mouth stapled because she can't stop blabbing incessently.
I think she has long outlived her usefulness, and is nothing more than a feel-good mouthpiece.
But that's just my 2-cents worth.
