he apparently just died of age...i don't know how long they usually live but he was 18. Mike V was great...his first appearance at an lsu athletic event was shaq's freshman year against alabama, a victory. coolest mascot in college sports, who else has anything more intimidating than a LIVE BENGAL TIGER.

I'm a Tiger,but an Auburn Tiger.I remember hearing Mike's growl over the microphone in Baton Rouge.It was intimidating to opposing players and fans.He was 17 I'm sorry to hear about his death

Nope...But I do know the North Carolina Tarheel died...got hit by a car after the basketball team lost in the NCAA Tournament...
