Like when people take yucky medicne, or eat some gross food, why do they plug their noses? Is it like a reflex?

Have you had a cold with a stuffy nose and couldn't taste your food? Same concept here, if you hold your nose you can't really taste it.

When you hold your nose you block the smell, and your sense of smell is vital to your sense of taste. Try it...if you can not smell something the taste is much less potent.

i have no scientific proof on this, but when you block of your nose, your sense of taste deminishes. the only basis i have of this is when you get a cold or your nose is stuffy you can't really taste anything.

IF I DON'T LIKE THE SMELL OF SOMETHING THAN I USUALLY DON'T LIKE THE TASTE.SO MAYBE IF YOU DON'T SMELL IT,IT WOULDN'T TASTE AS BAD.
