What are some good ideas for a babys first birthday party?

you really don't need to over do it. whatever cartoon character he or she likes go with it. but trust me, what they will love is a cake with candles to blow them out and balloons. they love it! only you will remember the first b-day, they won't.
dont forget to take plenty of pictures, so they can see what a good time they had.

Well ok my nephew 1st party was fun. But just make it small dont go to big and spend alot of money, because the baby will not remember it and the baby may not enjoy it. Like my nephew went to sleep 3 times during his birthday, so dont make it too long too. Also just invite family and friends, so the baby can become a custom to who he/she will be around often. Also maybe invite family or friends who have kids, so the baby knows how to enteract with other kids(cuz my nephew was pushing all the little kids around because he's and only child and he's not use to people his age) Just make the birthday party so the baby can enjoy it, cuz a fussy baby is not fun to be around. Don't worry too much/go overboard. The kid won't remember it. Get a cake and some presents. At that age, elaborate parties a waste of time/gratification of the parents' egos.
