Because they are models John Lauranitis, the Scout director, for WWE brought in for sex appeal only. Kelly has been in the ring maybe once in a mixed tag match when she was with Mike Knox. I'm not sure about Layla other than the feud with the Miz. I guess Vince, Stephanie, and John Laurinatis want more sex appeal on ECW. However, I don't think sexual teasing won't save ECW, unless they show something on a pay-per view.

Simple.
Those girls aren't wrestlers.They re just eye-candy meant to dance around and look pretty.That's all.
But Layla did have a tag match on Smackdown and Kelly Kelly did have a mixed tag at the ECW December to Dismember PPV.

The only ones that can wrestle in that ECW brand is Ariel & Trinity.
Ariel just recently got released & Trinity never gets used because she can actually wrestle.
The only ones WWE like to use are eye candy with no talent like Kelly Kelly.

Two words T and A. That's all they are there for, not for atheletic ability, but for how they look in a bikini. T and A.
Sorry it seems crude, but it is what it is. Don't hate me, hate ECW for pandering to the lowest common demoninator. For the record, I don't watch ECW, and haven't been keeping up with pro wrestling as much lately- too much soap opera and not enough action. Enough with the wigglin and the jigglin- I wanna see slammin and stompin!

There just there for the guys to lust on.
It's really almost just soft porn or a T&A show when they are on.
I like watching them myself but they are not there for their wrestling skills.
