it is the ordinary philosophical question. no one ever can escape making this question a minimum of as quickly as in his existence. needless to say, there could be no particular and suited answer to this question. adult men basically keep on asking and finding. the only ingredient they are in a position to't stand is the thought existence has no meaning in any respect, what's in all risk the suited certainty. the two we provide intending to our lives or it is going to continually look as meaningless and purposeless. yet as a results of fact the meaning we provide to that's continually relative and arbitrary, there is not any reason despite to assume that it is the meaning, or that this concerns even somewhat. in fact, we would keep on residing the way we do despite if we 'knew' as quickly as and for all what we are doing right here. What can grant the effect that this seek is greater an psychological passtime than something.

But if the question is resolved or hidden in some forgotten warehouse of past questions, then if an all-knowing being decides to get an account on Y!Answers, but can only stay a day, he/she may never see the question and thus we may never have the ultimate answer.

It's quite obvious that these questioning people are a band of fanatics waiting for the appearance of this oracle of knowledge. Thank goodness someone is guarding that particular window of knowledge waiting to slam it shut.

Peace

I think people like a personalised response. It's like someones talking to them directly, connecting with them, even if the answers our the same else where.

However it does get a bit tedious when you see a "meaning of life question" on a regular basis.

And the follow up question, "why do so many keep answering the question?"

My answer has evolved over the past year and a half, but it has stayed the same for the last month or two.

I think that everyone's waiting for a personalized answer that works for them. That and - not to put too fine a point on it - the people who actually frequent 'Yahoo! Answers' (rather than just happening across it) probably don't actually search for resolved questions that often.

Because its programmed into us - we see things happening on our micro-scale and often because of all the messaging of Pandora's box stuff - hate, violence, greed we forget there is hope and that hope is determining meaning of our lives - positive pro action to be and do great things - its scares most people and just asking the question - provides the rational for not being and doing

at any time if you feel like voting for unresolved questions you will come across atleast 5 questions pertaining to the meaning of life. i think its the foremost issue 'bugging' mankind & the question will keep repeating until a satisfactory answer reveals itself :)

Maybe it is because Life just is. It has no intrinsic, or built in meaning of it's own.

All the meaning that life will ever have is the meaning that you give to it.

Looks like its up to you.

Love and blessings Don

Such a stupid question posed by superlatively sophomoric minds. If I for one moment thought they could grasp it, I would suggest they shut up and go read some Sartre.
They then would be busy reading, thus sparing us their parasitic, loafing presence on Yahoo Answers and their constant insipid question.
