NO!!

At first I liked the PC movement, but it seems to have gotten way out of hand. (Some school in England won't mention the Holocaust because it might offend Muslims. Some high schools did away with the position of valedictorian because they felt it hurt other children's self esteem. TV stations in the US told news anchors they could not wear US flags on their lapels after 9/11 because it might offend someone. And why do we need Braille instructions on drive-through ATMs?)

I got a master's degree in education a few years ago, and I remember how sickeningly politically-correct the program was. One class required us to post opinions on the class website. I put on a post that was politically incorrect. (I don't remember the name, but it was about the man who had a degenerative bone condition and sued the PGA for the right to compete with them and ride a cart in the competition even though it was against the PGA rules. I said I felt he should not be allowed to.) A number of my classmates were offended. A few others told me they disagreed with me, but admired my courage for posting it.

Greetings,

Political correctness is a form of lying.

I prefer to tell the truth no matter what...at least it's honest. Liberal extremists are destroying the fabric of society.

It's an excellent video that describes the modern western world and how screwed up it has become. Political correctness has become a religion no thanks to the 1960s hippie generation that started this whole political correctness propaganda. They encourage failure.

Good day,
TCL

I don't go out of my way to be rude, but in most cases, political correctness is complete rubbish.

I'll use an example if I have to.

no, i think the politically correct thing came up just because someone HAD to prove the other person wrong...one way or another
so when they can't find a strong argument, they go for that

Most of the time I suppose
Now get naked...
Not politically correct (apparently naked is bad, and I would tend to agree in some cases)

Only when I'm around uptight people who get offended easily... My sister used to work w/ "mentally challenged" people and she got so upset with me when I referred to one as "retarded." It's not like I called him that to his face! What's the BFD?? He IS retarded! It's called MENTAL RETARDATION, not MENTAL CHALLENGING. Being mentally challenged to ME is when you doing something that stimulates your brain, like crosswords and puzzles!
