Yes and No.
I regretted it at the time because it took a lot of courage to put myself out there like that, and it really hurt to not to have those feelings returned.
I don't regret it now, because I know at least I had the courage to say those words, which a lot of people don't. The ability to put yourself out there, whether you get a good or bad reaction, is an incredible quality, because that way you know you will take full advantage of every opportunity. I think I would have regretted it more, not having said it then, always wondering if my inability to open up was the reason for a failed relationship.
Open yourself up, and take that chance. If your feelings are returned, you won't have to live in self-doubt, or make the people around you think you have issues with intimacy. If they aren't returned, you know in your heart you gave it your all, and were in tune with your true feelings. You get to move on to something better. :)

Yes, but it was when I was young. Now a days, no I would never regret it because I know I would mean it. Love is a strong word, I never use it unless I truly meant it.

No, I don't, because I only say it when I truly mean it. Honestly. "I love you" are very serious words to me.

Even if I don't love them anymore, I remember that I meant it at the time, and am happy they know how I felt.

Absolutely! Fortunately, after I divorced him, he moved to the other side of the country and I've never seen him since.
