My Mom even at 85 years of age, can still cook a mean meal, when she has company. Since Dad passed away 4 years ago, and all of us kids are out of the home, then the only time she really cooks, is when my nieces and nephews go to visit.
Oh, and she could make homemade bread that would melt in your mouth. Mom baked and cooked, and still does sometimes. And that is the honest truth.
And my Dad was an excellent cook too.
I didn't learn to cook from either of them, I learned to cook on my own, because I was too dumb then to watch. But I am a good cook now too, but never as good as Mom or Dad.

Mine certainly wasn't! She burnt nearly everything and her bread was like heavy concrete. But after losing her 17 years ago, I would do anything to have one of her dried out roasts again!!!
