how do you build a trebuchet out of paddle pop sticks that is 60cm tall and 60cm wide at the most???plz help?

i can use paddle pop sticks, tooth picks, PVA glue, rubberbands, string,straw, cardboard and thumb tacks.... if u can help me plz it will b the best :P:P

You have two basic problems here:

1) How do you build something 60 cm long out of tiny little sticks? The answer is to build a truss, which you do by forming the sticks into triangles and fastening the ends together with glue or thumbtacks (or both). Then by forming a series of interconnected triangles, you can build up a truss of any desired size from short sticks. Here are a few ideas for trusses:

2) Okay, you can build a truss; but how do you actually build a trebuchet? You will need to build an arm (use a truss for this); an axle (the tricky part: needs to be round!), and a frame for holding the arm & axle (more trusses).

I saw a TV show where they built a full scale weapon, and maybe you would want to see it. Trebuchets are trickier than catapaults, since there is a counterweight that is involved to give it extra momentum.
