I had read that he was a Master Mason and also George Washington too (among many others in high places "we fight not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places" - The Bible) and affiliated with a certain lodge of London which was supposedly a major sanctuary of the brilliant ones, interwoven with regular Masons. It is said that the lower level Masons knew not of the Illuminati which had infiltrated their upper ranks. I don't know much about the Noveau-Tech Societe except to say that it means "New Technology Society" in French which I equate with the totalitarian control of the New World Order and the spirit of Anti-Christ which opens up many cans of worms!

"Towards the end of his life, [John Robison (1739-02-04 – 1805-01-30) became an enthusiastic conspiracy theorist, publishing "Proofs of a Conspiracy ..." in 1797, alleging clandestine intrigue by the Illuminati and Freemasons. (The work's full title was "Proofs of a Conspiracy against all the Religions and Governments of Europe, carried on in the secret meetings of Freemasons, Illuminati and Reading Societies".) Robison and Abbé Barruél independently developed similar views that the Illuminati had infiltrated Continental Freemasonry, leading to the excesses of the French Revolution. Modern conspiracy theorists believe that this was the template for the subversion of otherwise benign organizations by radical groups through the 19th and 20th centuries."

"The "Illuminati Scare" refers to the public accusation, made by prominent New England conservatives in the late 1700s, that the Bavarian Illuminati were responsible for domestic opposition to Federalist policies. This accusation surfaced in numerous sermons, orations, and newspapers from 1798 to 1799, amid high domestic tensions over the Quasi-War with France, the Alien and Sedition Acts, and the status of the church in New England. Relying on the conspiracy theories of John Robison, Federalist clergymen and polemicists attempted to tarnish the Democratic-Republicans by associating them with a secretive revolutionary order, supposedly bent on overthrowing all governments and destroying Christianity. The Illuminati scare has continued to interest historians due to its resemblance to McCarthyism and other similar phenomena in American history."
"In the short term, the Illuminati scare resulted in embarrassment for Morse and others, as they repeatedly failed to provide convincing evidence in support of their claims."

"Conspiracy theorists (like David Icke and Was Penre) have argued that the Bavarian Illuminati survived, and perhaps even exist today, though very little reliable evidence can be found to support that Weishaupt's group survived into the 19th century. However, several groups have used the name Illuminati since to found their own rites, claiming to be the Illuminati, including the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) of Theodor Reuss and Aleister Crowley (England), Grand Lodge Rockefeller of David Goldman (USA), Orden Illuminati of Gabriel López de Rojas (Spain), The Illuminati Order of Solomon Tulbure (USA), and others present in Internet."
"Conspiracy theorists highlight an alleged link between the Illuminati and Freemasonry. They also suggest that the United States' founding fathers—some of whom were Freemasons—were rife with corruption from the Illuminati, and that the symbols of the All-seeing Eye and the unfinished pyramid in the Great Seal of the United States are an example of the Illuminati's ever-present watchful eye over Americans."
