Extreme pain is most certainly NOT normal. Aches, discomforts, normal. You could be in labor or having a life threatening complication of pregnancy. If your pain is extreme, you need to seek medical attention NOW!

Everyone is different. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and my back has hurt pretty consistantly for the past month. If it hurts enough to take your breath away, I'd go to the hospital just for reassurance!

Be very concerned and call you Dr NOW! This could be the beginings of labor and you are not far along enough - they can stop it if you hurry!
Very much sounds like labor pains!!!!

I have it all the time,(both, together) in fact right at this moment at 32 weeks, usually get it after any activity, shopping, cleaning, etc. overexerting I suppose. If it gets worse or you think you are having contractions call your doc right away!

unfortunately yes it is normal. If you are concerned about it though then you can go to the hospital and they will check to see if you are having contractions.
