i dont dislike catholics. I dislike the christian faith in whole.

The christian god said love, and do not judge. unfortunately so many of any of the christian faiths are the first to judge another they disagree with. Throughout history the christian religion has caused more death and destruction than any other faith their is, entire continents enslaved or destroyed in its name.

The reason catholics get the bad wrap is because their the most organized, largest group, and were responcible for much of it. They ruled and enforced the dark ages, they led and ordered the inquesition, without them the colinization of america would have gone alot differently

and dislike a person for being catholic, no, i know plenty i like, and love. If you dont follow the truth faith, then ill dislike you.

Catholics are supposed to be religious people but what do they do to help those in need. (i know theres good catholics who go out of their way to help those in need but theres very few and rare) Many can just go on and on about their religion and then they'll turn around and express the total opposite. my parents are catholics and so was I until i came up with so many questions i couldnt answer and decided this wasnt my religion, since then we can just say im atheist. And no i dont dislike catholics even though it may sound as if i do. I beleive everyone has the right to select their religion but i would show gratitude and appreciation to those who are catholics indeed, those who do everything a good and well catholic would. Those who strongly beleif and show it through their actions.

I am Catholic, albeit not the most religious one, but I feel that I can respond.

Most people don't realise the good work that the Church is doing, and prefer to focus on the negative aspects, such as errant priest behaviour, as if it represents the whole Church. The Catholic Church also is seen as a whipping boy for all Christian religions, because it is the largest denomination. So when anything bad happens within a christian church, then this tarnishes the Catholic Church as well.

To Lorena, many of the worlds largest charity organisations are run by the Catholic Church, as are hospitals, many of which care for drug addicts, AIDS sufferers, unmarried mothers, destitutes etc. Yet all some people see are that the Church opposes contraception and abortion, homosexuality etc. It may well do, but at least it does not discriminate against them when they need help. In Australia, many AIDS patients in Sydney are treated at Catholic run hospitals and clinics. Many Catholic nuns in Africa died because they were the only ones who were willing to help sufferers of ebola virus during an outbreak a few years ago. They could have left them to suffer and die un-cared for, instead they willingly put there own health, and lives, at risk, because of their faith and duty to care for others.

It is important, to see the good that the Church is doing, and praise it, as well as rightly condemning the actions of those in the Church who have abused their positions to inflict suffering on others.

It seems catholic often think people dislike them just because they disagree with their beliefs. I hope catholics will learn to understand the difference. In most countries in the world we have freedom of religion and we should be thankful for that. So please, don't think people don't like catholics just because they disagree with catholic beliefs.
I like catholics, but disagree with many of their beliefs.

I do not dislike catholics, infact I am catholic. But i dunno why people dont like 'em. People sometimes just dont kno what they're talkin about and pre-judge. The catholic religion is sometimes just, misunderstood. I knew this girl who thought we worshipped the devil, some peole dont even kno we're christians. so sad.
