Just keep those 5sets of clothes for work specifically. 5sets of summer things to wear to work, in winter have 5sets of clothing to wear. What i mean is just have 5 sets and maye buy one or two new things each season specifically for work without having to wear a million different sets of clothing. Would that be enough?? I mean women don't have to go out and buy heaps of new things to wear to work do they?? As a woman i still wanna be able to look nice, wear what i have to work without having to buy a million differnt things each season, as i said just buy one or two new things and wear what i have, the same thing each week. I work permanant part time in an office.

Sounds good to me! and cheaper in the long run.
Just don't wear the same combo every monday, tuesday, etc.
For instance, wear your navy suit the first day with a blue blouse, gray with a red blouse, brown with a yellow blouse, green with a mint blouse, then black with a white blouse.
Next week, shuffle the blouses to different suits, and add different accessories.[ gold, pearls, gemstones, silver, enamels ].
I try to buy suits that go with more than one top, and tops that go with several suits.
Same with shoes - you can match them to a suit color, or to a blouse for less formal look [ a day without meetings, for instance ]. You could also wear tights that match your suit instead of pantyhose.
Do invest in some classic jewelry.
Have fun!

It's perfectly acceptable. If you paid real attention to what women wore, you'd find most have separates and they mix and match them to create outfits. It may look like they have a month's worth of clothes when actually they are recycling--adding a different blouse or skirt to what they wore the previous week.

Companies that have dress codes do not expect you to break your budget by having ten or more suits. Five is a good number. You might want to add a sixth that is a little fancier or a slightly better quality, but that should be all you need.

If your main concern is cutting down on being wasteful a lot of what you wear is not always seasonal and can be worn through out the year. Perhaps, you need to look at your pant/dress collection and make outfits from that. personally, I think you should have at least 10, and then mix and match. From those 10 outfits you can create several outfits. Especially, if the pants/shirts are in neutral shades, good luck

If they are all in the same color range then you have more than five sets. You can inter change them and that will give you a lot more outfits. Go to the paint store and get the little color paint cards, and ask the person what colors interchange with one another and use this as a base for your clothing. I really wouldn't tell them its for clothing, they will send you to a clothing store and there it will cost you money for the same information. Good luck and have fun with the color cards.

It isn't confusing... it is boring! Why deny you the pleasure of wearing different things, look attractive and in fashion, combine different looks and outfits, being that a part of the feminine essence?
Yes, you should keep your working clothes separate from your evening, weekend, or shopping attires... But, always add a little extra to your wardrobe so you feel like you are wearing something new and are in fashion.
Remember that we women don't only wear to attract men but to be admired (or envied) by women.

I'd say that is perfectly acceptable!

I work in an office on a part time basis too. I have a few skirts and a few tops that I can mix and match. I think you should keep work clothes separate to your others. Lets face it, it keeps them much smarter and lasting longer.

I think that is a great idea. Who needs all of that laundry to do or a huge dry cleaning bill. For example my sister has 30 pairs of jeans all blue and for what...maybe I am clueless but that does not make any sense to me.

I understand. I have a friend who dresses like that and it is just fine. Whatever you feel comfortable with, and yes, I think people spend too much on clothes and have too many. (Me included) I think you are being sensible.

i don't have any issues with your system, but if you're concerned, i would suggest getting some items you can mix and match so you can create a greater variety of outfits

It's completely fine. Maybe mix and match a bit though?
