The fear of the unknown could be a multitude of things. It could be the anxiety, or apprehension one feels for not knowing who is at the door when they owe dangerous folks money...or it could be less severe, such as not knowing if someone is watching you t.p. homes on devils night. How to DEAL with it? Buck up and stop being scared. And don't t.p, my house, I'll have some frozen paintballs ready to welt some hides. LOL...betcha didn't know you were gonna get an answer like that! It's not so scary is it?

The unknown is, well, not known. If you fear it then that means you have imagined something dangerous about it. Many things we can not know but face, if you can, those unknowns that you fear so that your God given childlike curiosity can ascertain something about them. Once you know something about it in all likely-hood it will not prove dangerous and you need no longer fear it.

For unknown things we can not face, will yourself to unimagine the threats you have dreamed up about them. Substitute for them something imagined that is pleasant and not dangerous. Remember they are imagined and the non-dangerous ideas are just as likely to be true as the dangerous.

Good luck, good mental health, peace and love!

It could mean social anxiety. Some people stray from situations not familiar to them because it takes them out of their comfort zone.

I guess another fear of the unknown could be life after death or death itself. No one really knows what happens to your soul when you die and of any afterlife. So far theres only faith and belief but the facts of what happens after death is unknown.

How can you be afraid for something that may or may not exist? Do you mean you have angst?
