The unresolved matters surrounding the attacks of 9-11.
The ramifications of this issue are so great as to overshadow the lesser-included issues of poverty and hunger worldwide.
Just think of what America and our government could be doing regarding the health and well-being of not just our own citizens, but the World.
Justice needs to be served. And people know what I'm talking about.

specifically here in the Philippines, being a voter and a citizen confused me most. Democratic country comes from the 2 greek words "demos" and "cracias" means a government ruled by the people. So conspicuously we are the ruler in our country literaly but in the long run the leaders (servants based on the constitution) become the leaders and we become servants. the inverted situation issues me most.

Immigration right now. Illegal immigrants are bleeding the country's finances dry. If our economy is drained, not only
will our average citizen be hurt but we will be unable to
care for our poor & needy. As long as illegals will work for less then wages will not rise for citizens.

Illegal Immigration is a stack of cards that can topple all
of our lives.

Also outlawing lobbyist as they run Congress these days.
Expensive trips & promises of high paying jobs for Congressmen after leaving office speed bills through to become laws. Congress & lobbyist are crooks right now.

The national debt. Nothing is more important.

Why? Because imagine what we could do if we weren't pouring $300 billion each year into a hole called 'Interest on the Debt.' We could fix Social Security. We could increase military salaries and benefits. We could provide national health care. Or we could do none of those things and give everyone a tax break that didn't come with deficits attached.

I think anything that would irresponsible for a family to do is also irresponsible for a government to do. So how many of you think that it would be irresponsible to run up credit card debt equal to four times your annual income? (US annual revenue = 2.3 trillion, current debt = 8.9 trillion.)

Most of the issues that matter the most to me, are quality of life issues, like the ones you mentioned. But, I think that the core root of all those issues, begin with the Federal Reserve, and the IRS, and of course the income tax. And, of course the blame for these three root causes, are the globalist elite/Illuminati, with their NWO agenda! *sm*

As a voter concerned with the future of this country, my main concern is the destruction of our middle class by illegal immigration & the misapplication of H1B visas to reduce the wages of wage earning Americans. I see the "killing of the goose that laid the golden egg." 90+ percent of Americans gain no significant income from Corporate investments, yet Wall Street & our corporate profits have become far more important to politicians than the welfare of the voters.
In my view our country is defined far more by the guy with his name on his shirt & dirty hands than by the guy with a beamer & tailored suit. The corporate desire to reduce labor costs by increasing the labor supply in all segments of society, including the professional segment, worries me. Professionals imported via the H1B visa are typically hired at 75 to 85% of the going wage for said job. We have no shortage of labor... what we have is a shortage of people willing to work for the reduced wages corporations wish to offer these people. This is especially true in the Technical & Medical fields.

illegal immigration and a related subject, wasted money. illegal immigrants get to use more of the government provided services without being a citizen or a tax payer in many cases than you do as a law abiding tax paying citizen. NEEDS TO BE FIXED.

For me personally it's Stem Cell Research. I'm a Type One Diabetic, I was born with the disease. I feel that I and every other diabetic, which type II is reaching epidemic proportions, my younger sister was recently diagnosed with type II diabetes, and now has both type 1 and type 2. Why should diabetics suffer to save cells that will never become children? (they've all been locked away in freezers since the 2004 ban).

Adequate cost of living, and these dam gas prices! I think something needs to be done to make it easier on everyone or soon there will be other issues that will result (poor retail sales, poor profits for companies, thus unemployment goes up. . .).
