Do you tan or burn?

Or get a burn that turns into a tan?

I never tan. I just get a burn that peels and hurts.

I always burn!!!!

I stayed out in the sun for about 30 minutes and had to got to the ER because I had second degree burns on my legs, arms, and shoulders. It hurt for weeks!!!!

i burn and then it turns into a tan but it takes a while i will peel too and yes it does hurt when i go to the beach i take sunblock with me cause even though i have a tan i still burn...light skin and light hair

I find I burn, then peel and then the tan lasts forever....but of course it's a horrible tan because I didn't want it so I have white marks where my watch was or a bracelet. It's the worst tan ever.
OR I'll have one side of me burn and the other is normal....ugh that was horrible.

Usually tan, although I grew up in Florida, and there were times when I was out for long enough that I went right past tan into a baaaad burn. Ouch!

I have a friend who always burns and peels, and she suggested some low spf sunblock (10 or 15) and sit outside instead of in a tanning salon.

Tan... I just burned for the first time two weeks ago.. but then it turned to tan :)

I am allergic to the sun. I black out and get very sick, and then ache for days and days ... and days. This is after ten minutes, so there isn't a lot of time to check about the tan/burn scenario, but it's always an adventure at the theme park, hehe
