Does that ever make you think of Bush and the stars and then the homeless? We can judge the homeless all the want, but something happened to to get them there, just like something happened to get Bush and the others where they are. Whatever happened, happened in their past and the parties involved had little to do with it. The first will be last and the last will be first. It's gonna happen. It will happen and you will all see it.

I believe what the Lord meant by " The first shall be last, and the last shall be first" is talking about those who have always followed the Lords teachings because they were raised in them, and those would were not as fortunate to be raised in his teachings but find his path through the path of sin that they had been leading. If you are raised in Christ then you know no diffrent and you have never tasted the sweet flavor that sin has, therefore you do not miss what you do not know. Those who have lead a life of sin and wollowed in sin have tasted sin and enjoyed sin therefore when they turn away from sin and into Jesus's arms they are giving up a great deal ( to them) and sacraficing all that they know. Both are equally comendable but one is much harder than the other. As for Bush vs. Homless people. Bush chose to run for office but the Lord put him into office. Homless though most are by circumstance many choose to be homeless and even when they are given opportunity to change thier stars they choose not to.

Yes, surely it is harder for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven, because he doesn't have to depend on God for most of his needs. And a lot of people on the bottom choose to be that way. God give us a brain for a reason to use it. If you use drugs and therefore become homeless who is to blame. You yourself would be to blame not the rich man. You seem to think that all rich people are going to be last. That is simply not how it will be. There are many rich people that love to help the underdog. You seem to be trilled at the thought of bringing a rich man down. Poor You!

i agree, but i don't understand why you attach this statement to bush. have you ever REALLY taken a look at the opposition's effects upon our society?

i suggest you start with a search of hillary's connection to wal-mart and follow it up with bill's granting of trade status to china then, follow the history of wal-mart's effects upon our economy. finally, connect the dots for yourself.

then, take a look at hillary's venture into altering our system of healthcare and the results that followed.

next, take a look at the raping of our military's benefits enacted during the clinton and carter years.

it is easy for the political power heads to claim they are pro underclass. quite another when you study their personal dealings and the results that their efforts have produced.

take another look at nafta and the right it gave to american industries to pollute mexico unfettered. take a look a the sharp increase of still born births and defects being incurred along our texas border and deep into mexico itself.

nafta was in no way an altruistic effort though sold as such. the results have been a disaster to the multitude of those suffering toxic effects and was just one more way for big industry to side step the responsible handling of their toxic waste and exploit mexico's large underclass without penalty. i am not saying that we have not benefited from nafta but doing so has been at the cost of who?

Wolfpack:
"Our President went to Yale & Harvard, was Govenor & worked hard to achieve the presidency......"
*********************************************************************************
travis, your philosophical exercise in circular reasoning is lost on those who have all the answers. The above snippet is highlighted to show the critical lack of depth to which you are trying to introduce an examination of THE FATES. Honorable, you are. Inquisitive, they are not.

To the point of WOLFPACK: No offense intended but please understand that our President was a LEGACY to Yale University. Because his father had attended, young George needed only to meet the MINIMUM standard of admissions. By his own accounts he was only an average student. Also like his high acheiving father, W. later was accepted at the Harvard School of Business, AGAIN AS A LEGACY.

After college, He joined the Texas Air National Guard and received training as A FIGHTER PILOT, LIKE. you guessed it, his decorated and highly praised fighter pilot father, George H.W.Bush. George, the son and object of your praise, wasn't in the same league. He was DISQUALIFIED before he could see any action in Vietnam. Before that was possible he managed to FAIL A PHYSICAL AND WAS OFFICIALLY "GROUNDED."

He then went into the FAMILY-OWNED OIL BUSINESS where he did his usual average job.The HIGHLIGHT of his venture into big business, Texas style, was that the family DIDN'T LOSE THE BUSINESS.

Next, he found his way into major league baseball as co-owner of the Texas Rangers. By now there SHOULD be little doubt as to whose money and connections made this all possible, right? He is MOST REMEMBERED in this position as THE MAN WHO TRADED SAMMIE SOSA for...practically nothing. Of course Slammin' Sammie went on to hit nearly 580 Home Runs AFTER BEING TRADED. He is the only player in Major League history with 3 seasons of 60 or more Home Runs.

Sensing that MLB was also NOT his calling, he sold his interests in the team at a ridiculous profit and returned to the family's SECOND business, politics. He served two AVERAGE terms, with the State only noted for it's number of EXECUTIONS during his tenure.

Finally, Young Mr. Bush attains the world's most important and most powerful position, after a two-term Clinton Administration THAT (need I say it?) WAS PRECEEDED BY FATHER BUSH's ADMINISTRATION. Of course, this was made possible by a SUPREME COURT DECISION, heavily influenced by The Legacy Of The Bushes.

So I ask you, WHEN AND WHERE has this President ever "worked hard" and when has he EVER attained anything that WASN'T HANDED TO HIM BY HIS UNQUESTIONABLY OUTSTANDING FATHER? I only ask for ONE example.

This question is a vague reference to a Bible verse about who is important in the kingdom of God (heaven?).

The question's details make very little sense.

People make choices to get where they are, in addition to their circumstance of birth. Being wealthy does not mean someone will excel in school and end up being elected president. And being born into poverty does not mean someone will end up homeless. At least not here in America.

And if we can keep the liberal socialists from running America, we can keep being free to make our own choices.

What are you rambling about? These seem to be unconnected.
Our President went to Yale & Harvard, was Govenor & worked hard to achieve the presidency.
Homeless become homeless for many reasons but most because of drugs & acoholism or mental illness.

It is called life's choices.

That's what we hope will happen soon, that the good people who have learned to survive because they had to, will be rewarded.
