Start by unziping the files for mame into a new folder. Then once you have the roms downloaded, unzip those into another new folder within the mame folder. Once you have your roms in that folder click on the mame program icon. When it starts click on the available games tab on the left then go to the menu and click refresh. It will list all the games that work and have been properly unzipped.
