what was once or could have been beautiful DOGS, That have been allowed to run *free*. Instead of safeguarding them by putting them in an enclosed fence area, or tying on a clothesline type leash they are permittted to chase cars, follow the children to a friend*s house, etc...and oft=times don*t make it. Taking on a dog as a pet, I thought meant that you cared for and wanted to protect it from all harm and dangers. Am I the only one who thinks that way?

Possums and whitetail deer. They run out on to the high way and commit suicide frequently around here. Usually at night when the weather is around 40 or below. The deer come out. I work evening shift and get off around midnight . One night I counted 34 deer and one fat raccoon on my way home from work.

Skunks are pretty common. So are cats. Squirrles arent that common. They are a little smarter than the other animals. Humans get killed often.

I live in Maine and we have a lot of skunks,chipmunks, birds, raccoons,porcupines and deer that get killed on the road.

Squirrel definitley most often. Not such a pretty sight.

In my area I would have to say raccoons. Possums come in a close second though.
