everybody is entitled to their own opinion so people shouldnt judge other peoples opinon. and giving a thumbs down is judging the opinion.

Here's the thing in many catagories your answer will be your "opinion" and if someone doesnt think what you said was right then they feel the need to give thumbs down. I always answer honestly and if people dont like it I dont care.

One reason is the lack of common sence to the opinion questions.Some are done so poorley they should not waste the time of people trying to give good answers to good questions.

Because they think only their own opinion is the "correct" one. People are childish. I don't give thumbs down on opinion questions.. unless of course the person is being down right rude and not joking.

They think it will influence the asker or voters to give them a best answer. Stupid, they don't realize the one without the thumb down is the one who gave them.

Good question! I get offended when I get thumbs downs, lol. Just now I answered a ? about why women think Orlando Bloom is hot... I told him why I thought Orlando Bloom was hot, and I've got a bajillion thumbs down! WTF?
