If the TamilNadu Govt is keen to develop Valparai as a tourist spot by providing various facilities, it will definitely attract more tourist population than Udhagamandalam, the queen of south. Grass Hills and so may tea gardens attracts for the beauty of ups and downs for natural lovers and mount trekkers. Valparai is a serene and splendid hill station.It is accessible by road from Pollachi.The route constitues 45 km but u come across 45 hairpin bends but the drive will be ace since u come across Aliyar Dam and Monkey falls(20 km before Valparai).Tea plantations with waterfalls is the special thing in Valparai.The drive is a hectic one but a hill station very very worthy. Pollachi is 50 Km from Coimbatore.So,u can get a direct train to Coimbatore or Pollachi and from there u can go by road.Topslip,a wildlife sanctuary is around 50 km Pollachy.
