I just got my beardie a new cage that includes a plant holder. The holder probably can't be reached by the beardie or its tounge, but I'm not taking any chances. I want a plant that is okay for him to eat and decorative, too. A list of plants would work, too.

Plants are either for decoration, or for eating. There are many safe plants for them to eat, but for reality taking in, you would want to have a fake plant for them to climb up on, and a plate of good plants to eat. Dragons need to be in a desert-like habitat, which many plants won't thrive in. So to put a live plant in, it will have to either be immediately eaten, or be taken out. Dead plants can make a beardie very sick.

I keep a fake plant that has many branches, so the dragons can climb up and get light rays at the levels that they like. I give them good food to eat, vitamin-rich salads that I chop up to bite size. Whatever they don't eat, I throw out. Rotting food in any cage for any lizard, is never good.

Dandelions are one of their favorites and are easy to grow anywhere. The other greens they like are bigger. If you have a big enclosure you put in a hibiscus plant in when its flowering as they are very fond of eating the flowers.

Pony Tail Palms They love to eat them sleep in them and climb them, and real plants are fine you just have to rotate them in and out, its not that hard

Try a cactus. Any other plant you get will be eaten. You will end up having to replace it.
