examples of garden border edging that will help keep dirt inside garden preferably metal but where do you find it wooden borders details help!

they have really nice brick borders at menards.. depending on where you live.... i am here in Illinois... they should also have them at lowes, or home depot.... this is what i use.... brick is very pretty and you can choose from a couple different colors and a few different cuts .. good luck.... and if you have a veggies garden dont use metal because it rusts....

Remove what sod there is from the space you want to replant. Use large cobbles to outline your garden and build up the soil level several inches if you can. since your space is well-shaded, choose plants that appreciate some shade and that will fill the space. Hosta is nice and so are daylilies. Bergenia is also a good choice. Do some research for plants that will compete with tree roots for moisture.

I just lined my garden with edging. Its green plastic and every few inches it has long spikes to hammer it into the ground. Wood disintegrates over time, but the plastic lasts for many years. I bought it at Lowes and Home Depot.
