Good luck. I wish you the best in what you do. But you do need a business license to keep it legit. There is only one obstacle, you have to be 18 years of age to get a business license. The only way around that would be for one of your parents doing it for you, but the business license would be in their name. Then when your 18 just take the business over and have the name changed on the business license.

That sounds like a great idea. Most 17 year olds would never put in so much thought or imagination. And then if you don't think you want to cut lawns for the rest of your life, you can sell the business once you have an established clientele. Or you could own the business and hire employees to do the work :) Think big.

I think you should give it a try. Since you have experiance & seem to be excited about this, it's something that a 17 yr old may be able to pull off. It'll be a great summer job, but once school starts, you're evenings & weekends won't be free anymore - you don't want to loose interest in your buisness during school or your customers will remember that next summer & may not want you back. Just stick to it, advertise, be flexible & friendly, & it should be a great business.

Wow that is really great. When I was 20 I started buying and selling cars out of my driveway and made some good cash. Now I run a house painting business and have all my own equipment and am very happy with it.
Good luck. Its tough work but stick to it and you will do well.
And dont be afraid to charge a good buck for your work.

Sounds like a wonderful start and that you are an Entrepreneur. Good luck and hopefully you got a hold on some clientele. Don't let it interfere with those momentary school years though.

Depending on what part of the country you live in there are always some messicans willing to work for $10 American / day. If you have the equipment they will come. From there its pretty easy.
