My wiffe has an account here and this afternoon a little twit (no offense intended)from your side of the pond started stalking her with abusive e-mails calling her a HO and other vile things that I would not want to repeat, I know she should be a bit more thick skinned but the truth is she ain't and this punk really upset her. What I want to know is what do you do over there when someone starts picking on a member of you're network?, here they tend to gang up .

Your wife really needs to report this guy. He's probably a teenager...and doesn't realise how bad it is...or care. I'm usually in American P&S, there's always new questions posted, almost as soon as you're done answering one.
Anyway, reporting him is the way to go...I've never heard of anyone ganging up on anyone before.
I hope you get better answers from the Americans, and that they're over the age of 18.
What happened to your wife really sucks, and I know how bad it can creep a person out.

I'll tell you from experience. If someone was insulting me or another member of my family in real life, that person would most likely get their a** beat. Especially if the insults are directed towards a woman.
I hope the emails you wife received doesn't make either one of you think badly of Americans, because we are decent people.

Report them at every opportunity. That won't stop them, but if they get accounts suspended, they'll have to go through the trouble of setting up a new one. In the meantime, the delete key is a beautiful thing.
My apologies for your troubles, but please bear in mind that there are kind, generous folks here who greatly outnumber the ijits, even on bad days.

Awww bless her, i know this must have upset her and as much as you want her to 'toughen up' she cant change her sensitivity to things like this straight away, Nasty bullies like that do need reporting with every attempt they make to bully!
I always find when someone is being really nasty the best way to respond is with 'over niceness'. it really really confuses them !! it really does work, you dont want to be nice to them but it does work if you are! This has worked in my case several times! Tell your wife she can E mail me anytime, she's not alone, she has you and she has us!

I had some girl send me an angry email and call me names I would just turn off the section in your profile that allows people to contact you by email or by IM. Mine is still on but I don't offend easily. I just laughed. Hope your wife feels better.

I'm sorry that it was an american. There are all kinds of idiots on here. You can report them but they'll just get another ID. It's best to just ignore those idiots.

sorry that happened, It has happened to the best of us.
I dont think it has anything to do with being american, though. anyone can be a sicko. tell your wife not to worry about it. I have been called worse thing by my fellow americans, and others. I dont pay much attention to it.

Turn them in to Yahoo. Does she still have the emails? They can be forwarded to Yahoo's Techs. Please don't let them get away with it. She surely didn't deserve it.
