Scott Mellanby will show up and slap the Fox into the boards... and the Panthers fans will spend the next 5 years throwing rubber foxes onto the ice.

If the fox chewed on the puck and split it in half, remember that the entire puck has to cross the goal line in order for a goal to be scored. Half a puck wouldn't do it.

Um, they'd get another puck and they incident would go down in NHL history as a great (great in a weird way, not in an Ovechkin's-impossible-goal way) hockey moment.

Personally, I'd love to see the fox jump the boards.

Well I'm sure they would be prepared for that and have more than one puck for the last game of the Stanley Cup.

It would be hilarious they would probably try to check it

just a thought

Some much needed humor as we await the complete self-destruction and demise of the discredited and disgraced Babs Lowblow.

Cheers!

Oh, and in answer to your question, the NHL would spend 10 minutes reviewing the videotape before determining that it was okay to get another puck and continue the game. But if NBC was televising the game, they'd have broken away already to go and cover the racing fox.

It depends. If Detroit makes the finals, any fan could peg the fox with their octopus. Otherwise, they'd have to pull another puck out of the freezer.

They would get another puck. I'm sure people will chase the fox though. If that did happen that video clip would be remembered for this rest of Hockey history....

What if the fox also snatches bettman and rips him apart. Now that would save hockey.
