Sometimes when a photo or picture comes up on my pc's screen I would like to make it larger, or clearer. Is there a way to do this on the screen or is the picture size and or clarity not chanageable?

It depends on the picture. Most websites put pictures up that are pretty much the size on the screen because making them bigger wastes storage space and download time. But if pictures are a standard size for some reason, like being used somewhere else, then they may be shrunk by the display program. In this case, when you right click and save picture, you get a better (and bigger) picture than you see on the screen. Once the picture is saved and loaded into an editing program at full size you can't increase the clarity (much) because the detail just isn't there. The one exception is that masks can increase the local crispness by looking at pixels and changing the brightness or tone. Whether this makes an exceptable overall picture depends on the picture - often it just looks strange.

You can make the picture larger by magnifying it. i.e. zooming in. Basically this makes the pixels larger, but it doesn't add detail.

There's no real way to enhance, reconstruct, etc images like they do in the movies.
