Venus is the bright one in the sky next to the moon. Earth is the one you are standing on. If you look down and to the right of Venus using binoculars you will see the planet Mercury. So, take your pick. There are three!

Look in the Detroit papers. Being that it is cresent moon time, it is probably Venus.
