I used to be a "big time" collector of beanie babies, having over 700 ty beanies, teenies, buddies and classics. As of late I got tired of them and gave the commons to children's homes, etc. I've sold some in a garage sale and the ones I have left are holiday themed and country exclusives. I'm satisfied and happy with my collection now :) Thanks for all the answers, I've enjoyed reading them!

I've collected comic books since I was in the 1st grade (1988), now I have over 3,000 and it's growing all the time.
I also collect action figures and video games, both collections starting around the same time as my comic book collection.

My daughter does. She has a collection of thimbles. They are from all the places we have visited. She has 43 and is only 9 years old. Some are very unusual and are actually shaped like animals. Others have statues or models of ships on top. We keep them in a glass covered case so she doesn't have to dust them all the time. They are little and don't take up much space. Another plus is that they are inexpensive.

I collect teddy bears - some new some rare. I'm 36 yrs old now and have been doing this since I was about 15 years old. I have one's that i purchased for $500 and some for $1 at a flee market... my holy grail is a bear made by Gerbruder - only a few hundred were made and stopped cause too sacrey for children. about 20 years ago I saw this bear and it was $2500 then - I hate to see that now!

First, I would LOVE to have a tea set collection. I admire them from afar...Instead I have children!!
But I do collect books. Series of books. JD Robb/ Jodi Picoult. Nora Roberts.
I also collect plants. I cant even begin to tell you how many I have inside and out..

When I was younger I collected plastic horses (Breyer, they call it now) and now that I'm a grandmother, Barbie dolls. Got a few for my daughter, who asked for clothes, and then found those old clothes and bought some flea market Barbies to put in them and needed more clothes.... It's quite a collection. And I'd love to have more, especially unwanted ones.

I collect baseball cards, CD's, record albums, Jeff Gordon memorbilia and I use to collect beanies but gave them up. My girlfriend collects shot glasses, panda bear stuffed animals and rose colored glassware

I collect writing pens. Ones related to cartoons like Disney and Scooby Doo mostly. My mom collects cookie jars.

I collect bells. I have about 120 now. My daughter collects horses and frogs. My husband collects Nascar memorabilia and fire memorabilia.
