I just want to have some extra spending money during the summer. I just would like some ideas of what I can do.

Yard work and gardening is another good idea. Offer your services to cut grass, weed gardens and do general yard work for people, seniors especially can use the help in the summer.

Hold a car wash! Get a group of friends together and with parents permission start your own car wash.

Have a garage sale. Clean out your closets, toy chests and basements of all the toys/books you no longer use. You'd be surprised how much stuff you no longer use.

Check with the local employment agencies to see if they have any listings for youth. Occasionally camps and other organizations are looking for youngsters to help out.

Unfortunately there are laws about kids working so you have to be creative when you are young to earn a little extra cash. Get your parents involved too, they may have some good ideas. They may even be more encouraged to help you out if they see you trying to make your own cash instead of just holding out your hand.

You could decide what you want to do, such as babysitting, helping people around their house (like a mom's assistant), yardwork, companion to someone elderly, dog walker, etc. Then list all of your services on a little flyer (maybe put a title like "Summer Help" at the top) and then add your name and phone number and drop them in mailboxes or doors in your neighborhood. Just a tip though - don't list what you would charge hourly, because you may get some people who are willing to pay more than that. Talk about your pay with each person based on the job. Good luck!!

I know a group of people in my neighborhood who are about 12-14 and they go around asking people if they can mow their lawn for them. I don't know how much they charge, but they make a lot of money. Maybe you could get a group of friends and consider that. Or maybe you could put up babysitting signs? That would help too, I know a lot of people that could use a babysitter!

First of all it probably isn't safe for you to be wandering around the neighborhood. But if you really want extra spending money you should be talking this over with your parents/guardians to see if there is anything extra you can do around your own house to earn extra money. Maybe you can do some yard work at your grandparents or aunt or uncle's house for extra cash.

Just ask your parents or grandparents for money for doing chores for them... they are more forgiving to their own flesh and blood for doing a crappy job. I told this one 12 year old I'd give her $20 to match all my socks, and she was practically in tears after 20 minutes of sock matching. Now... I knew it would take 2 hours (gots lotta socks) - but it was like she wanted $20 for 15 mins worth of work... Then a 10 year old wanted to weed my flowerbed... He was out there for an hour and I couldn't even tell he did a darn thing, and he wanted 20 bucks too!

Let your neighbors know that you are available for babysitting, helping in the garden, house watching, etc. over the summer. Be creative! Do you have something you are really good at? Think of a way you can offer that as a service!

Ask your neighbors what can i do for you for say ten dollars an hour. She might suggest you pull weeds, scrub her kitchen or even just sit with a lonely neighbor and gossip and let them know you are available to help them. When I was a kid we picked mushrooms from our fields and knocked on any door to sell them.

walk dogs....house sit....cut lawns....wash cars....clean pools....ect...ect. One person went around and put cheap little business cards on everyone's front door advertising to everyone that he provided those sort of services and gave rates. I was actually impressed, he probably make's more than I do!

there is always the standard mowing lawns and lemonaid stands, but to make some real money I would go door to door selling hand jobs. I am sure you can make a fortune from the old men watching "murder she wrote" and "matlock".

oh. perfect. right up my alley.

1. gather the crickets around your neighbors house and hold them hostage for ransom and hope your neighbors post a large reward.
2. tell the flowers to stop growing and then go to the bumblebees and tell them the only way the flowers will bloom is if they pay you a sum of money every half tuesday.
3.dig a really large hole and steal artifacts of interesting nature and create the first "in-****** museum"
4.bully the mailboxes into giving you their lunchmoney
5.and then..of course..the dandielions..rip them all out of their ground wombs and tell their mothers they went to the jail on account of their out of season valentines day caroling. then seta price for their mothers to bail them out.

hope this helps =D!!!!!!! worked for me.
