Tonight I went out to my '99 Toyota RAV4, turned it on, turned on the headlights, and the temperature console did not light up inside the car. Everything else lit up, just not the part where you choose the temperature and where the air blows. The A/C button right next to the console was lit, but the console itself wasn't. What could this be? Thanks!

a burnt out fuse.

check the manual for the location of the fuse box.

locate the broken fuse and replace it with the same type (color/number) you can find fuses at walmart fairly cheaply

DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE SHOP!!!!!!

they will laugh at you and over charge you.

talk to a guy friend about it before taking it to a shop, PLEASE!!!

it could be a wiring issue or a bulb issue, just please check the simple stuff first before wasting more time or money.

Something with the wiring in the dashboard...take it back to the dealer or a mechanic :) Good luck.
