I have a domestic battery and fear I wouldn't be able to pass the ehtics check in Illinois.It was basically a cat fight in WI in 2000.What degrees are good there?Do they do ethics checks as well?Or am I worried for nothing and IL would accept that...just an option to move there.If not there than anywhere else??I WILL finish law school and practice somewhere lol thanks in advance for real informative answers instead of ignorant remarks.....

You must have an LL.B. or a J.D. in both the USA and Canada. BOTH have strict ethical guidelines and screening procedures. However, you do have a chance to explain what happened on your application to the Bar Association. Keep in mind that Canada has something similar to the Bar Exam as well. Go ahead and apply for Bar Admission! People are admitted to the IL Bar with a background much worse than what you stated.

By the way, Alaska's got the same requirements everyone else does. They also require a score of 85 on the MPRE.

on ethics, as does any other state. You may try Alaska,
