Yes, fertility meds are expensive. However, most are willing to work with you. We paid our bills monthly on a basis of how much we could make. Our doctor wanted to make sure we had the intent to pay for services. As we went along some of the stronger meds had to be paid for up front. That was one month and a $832 charge on the credit card. BUT guess what - that month I got pregnant!! And, nine months later I held my son for the first time.

I'm telling you - find a way to pay for it. Pay a little at a time it's so worth it!! You get the answers you need and stop worrying. Those two things alone will increase your chances of conception. You can do it, you can manage it. We had our bills paid within six months of our son being born.

It's possible either one of you has a problem. Or, you both have a small problem. Or, the stress is doing a number on you. My hubby had a lower sperm count and I had PCOS - mild case. But, both combined with the stress of conceiving had diminished our chances of conceiving.

After we had our son and we weren't worried about getting pregnant...in fact convinced ourselves we'd have to go back to the clinic in a few years...we end up pregnant again!!

Praying you get the answers you need!

You've been trying to conceive for 10 years and you are only checking NOW?

Generally, a fertility doc would check your husband first since it's the easiest thing to eliminate as a problem (sperm count being what it is). Once this is done, they will do ultrasound and other tests to see if there are any obvious problems.

Could be, only a Dr. can tell you for sure. I had one son and was trying for years to get another baby, but no luck. After 15 years, when I had truly given up I got pregnant again. I had stopped taking Clomid and charting my ovulation and everything. He's a beautiful handful, but I wouldn't take a dollar and a quarter for him. I'll pray for ya.

so what have you tried other than having sex. normally if couples dont get preg right away they start by trackin ovulation and if that doesnt work after a few cycles they see a specialist. there is no way to tell if it is you or him with out you tracking ovulation to make sure you are and reg and a dr testing his little guys. i hope you get some help, good luck :)

Fertility treatments are sooo expensive!! A much less expensive apprach would be to chart your temperatures and check your cervical mucous. You can get a free account at www.fertilityfriend.com - they will give you all of the instructions you need :)

Don't get discouraged just yet! there is always hope!

Usually after 1 year without successful conception, you should go to an infertility specialist. Without doing so, you won't know the cause of infertitlity.

In 10-12 years, and perhaps less, the U.S. will be torn to shreds by a bloody civil war. Seriously, I'd spend more time trying to prepare to survive that yourself and quit daydreaming about having children. The children you see being born today will probably not survive to see their teenage years, especially if they're white. This country is about to go over a cliff.

well thats a really long time though. it only took my husband and i 3yrs(which were 3long yrs). i kinda know how ya feel. maybe you two should consider praying 2 GOD asking for his help with yur situation. maybe you two are just not ready; even though you've been married 4 so long that can still be possible.
