take some IQ tests. might reveal why. for yrs I never could understand why I didn't think, see, etc as others, always figured I was the more dumb one in the group as most laughed at what I said.

then after a disease, dr. had me do an IQ test, much to my amazement, I was in the genius level. so instead of being the dumb one, I was the smart one, as most have an IQ of around 116.

best thing I can say, from life experience, find others like yourself and be with them. otherwise you will enjoy banging your head on a wall often and give yourself ulcers.

its a gift but at same time its a curse. currently I see a box maze and a world of rats in it, sad thing is, few rats realize the box is about to fall off the table. but to explain this to the masses, just takes too much effort. as you can't teach a dog to meow like a cat.

i have good news for you; you don't need knowledge for this question, only an active imagination. the only answer for this type of question is theory, which is unproven and thought up (hence the imagination part of my first sentence) if you're asking for interpretations of what might happen in such a scenario, i can give a couple i've heard of: 1. the universe is both limitless and limited at the same time. Though it is expanding, meaning it must have some sort of edge, we can never truly reach that edge. it's a funny thought, but the universe and its natural laws would not allow you to view such an edge. the "edge" would keep moving away from you at the same rate you're moving toward it. also, there's the problem of whether you're actually heading toward the edge or the center 2. String Theory (one of them at least) dictates that our universe is, in one way or another, a 5-dimensional object moving through an 11-dimensional space. our universe would be like a sheet floating in a larger space with other sheets (other universes). to get to that edge and look out, you would essentially see other universes floating around in nothingness. i would believe these to be an endless amount of parallel universes (if you believe in parallel universes). keep in mind that this is just my take on this question, nothing is set in stone for this particular question.

If there's one thing that shows a lack of common sense, it is thinking that you are above everyone else. Antoine and wildamber hit the nail right on the head. Your box may be different to another persons. It doesn't mean they are stuck in it. There will be many people who would view YOU in exactly the same way as you view others. You are not better than the rest of the world so get over yourself.

If you have a gift, use it, prove it, don't yap about it!

I don't mean to be rude, but that comes across as being very arrogant! I used to think like that when I was 12. Then I grew up and learned about individuality. I do understand your point of view, but we're all different, aren't we?

Some people do not express their views in the same way as you, or I, or many others. That does not make them less thoughtful or broad minded. Someone who you might consider to have a narrow view on one issue might well be more open -minded than you on another. Some are mature in ways that you aren't, and vice versa. That's life. Cope.

Why presume that you think in such a superior manner?

If you were able to "think outside the box", then you would understand that every person's 'box' is different. You eould not just assume that you are special.

Maybe thinking outside your box is still well within the boxes of everyone else.

You seem to have a case of Head Lodged Firmly In Backside Syndrome. Grow up. Who are you to define what ''thinking outside the box'' is? We don't all need to conform to your standards, we have our own thoughts.

Same reason why some people are better at math, writing, speaking, acting, etc... than others. We are each born with certain talents (whether useful or not). The ability or potential is encoded in our genetics.

That is a good thing- have you ever felt ostracized? You see I have Been met with great opposition by mediocre thinkers (a play on an Einstein quote) it is sometimes hard, you take a lot of slack if you are different. But feel lucky. It is better than being in some boring box!

I am suspicious of people that want me to think outside the box. I think I can consider anything objectively, but I am not going to agree with everyone that wants me to think outside the box.
