Im going to a seaworld, and Im going to have a bathing suit with me, but I was thinking about wearing terry cloth over the bathing suit, is that a good idea? Does it dry fast? Thanks!!

Absolutely not. The answer above is correct...they make towels with terry cloth to absorb (and hold water). If you want a swim suit to dry fast get a nylon or Lycra suit. Nothing drys faster and you don't need a "cover up" to absorb and hold water like terry cloth. If you just want a "cover up" then wear whatever you want with the Lycra suit because it will dry really fast.

NO. Terrycloth is what towels are made of! Wear loose, dark color, elastic waist [ can pull on over wet suit in emergency ] knit shorts [ no wet swimsuit line ] and a loose knit top.
If you burn easily, bring a long sleeved button shirt to protect arms/shoulders.

That's why towels are made out of it. The thread is looped away from the main weave. This increases the surface area of the cloth and so water evaporates off of it quickly.

yea! my friend is on a swimteam and her coach makes them wear terry cloth! its a very good idea
