Both got, and still have great players, but Denver got the better end of the deal for several reasons:

Getting the best corner in football was a steal at any price. He can play Man, Zone, and help in run support. He has posted 21 INTs since coming to denver (3 in 04, 8 in 05, 10 in 06) and going into his 8th season at 29, he has at least 3-5 more years as THE only shutdown, best corner in the NFL.

Denvers running game can literally plug in anyone to their system and produce. While they may have lost one of the best RBs to fit in it, almost anyone can come in, post 1000+ yards, and be a threat to get huge yards.

Bottom Line: Denver vastly improved their secondary, and the RB is only as good as the system and O line, and with Denver's style, every RB in it is a 1000+ great runner.

I say Denver. Champ Bailey might want to surely be between the perfect or the perfect CB contained in the NFL in the present day. Tatum Bell also helped the Broncos with the no longer so sturdy run offense. Clinton Portis has had problems with injuries for the previous few seasons, yet has yet up consistent numbers at the same time as healthful. If Portis had stayed healthful, then i imagine that the Redskins might want to have had the better perfect end of that commerce. yet in the present day, i will supply it to Denver.

Denver, Champ is an absolute beast and will go to the HOF by the end of his carreer

Clinton portis is a GREAT back, one of the top 5 in the league right now, but he won't be a hall of famer like champ, hes a solid back but nothing the world hasn't seen Denver won this trade

Champ is the best in the game, and the Skins struggle against the pass. There are many better backs than Portis, and the trade hasn't fazed Denver's running game. As an Eagles fan, I love this trade.

Champ Bailey: The best cb currently playing

Clinton Portis: a very good running back

Denver got quite a steal in this trade.

It's worked out well for both sides, but Champ is making a bigger difference for the Broncos...look at all those INTs he's piled up over the last two years, including a game-clincher to beat New England in the 2005 playoffs. How has Portis done in the playoffs for Washington? Oh wait...

The Denver Broncos are on the winning end of this trade.

Champ Bailey is the best corner in the NFL by far and great corners are much harder to come by than great running backs.

Portis may collect tons of stats for fantasy football (like all the good running backs) but Champ Bailey collects the most important stats for his team: wins.

i think denver got the better trade because clinton portis is overrated. don't get me wrong, he is an exellent player but he isn't the best and is unreliable with injuries.Champ baily on the other hand is the best corner in the leage and is good enough to play receiver very well. although portis is very good, he isn't the best like baily is.

Denver of course... Clinton has been very injury prone and has not produced much for the redskins, and Champ is the best corner in the league.
