I am trying to remember anything in the movie that would knock it down to an R. Maybe the one scene where the hero is attempting to bed the daughter of the judge--but that was very tame, I thought. It is a hilarious movie, I can't imagine that anybody would get offended by it, but some people are very up tight. You have to use your judgement, if the party guests are going to be a bunch of up tight stuffed shirts, it might be best to show re runs of Victory At Sea for them.

Nudity and language. But very mild for today's standards.

Unecessary nudity and foul language. It's just as funny when they edit it for television.
