A yes or no answer would be fine, but if you would like to elaborate please do so. There is no right or wrong answer, I'm just curious to know how the average citizen views the justice system. If you would, please include if you have or have not worked with the Justice System.

I am going to expand this question. What if your family fell through the cracks that most people have admited are there? Would you still say it is mostly a good system? If you don't think your family could fall through the cracks please explain.

Our system of justice works pretty well for the average person but it works a lot better if you can afford a high priced attorney! That means a lot of money, then you can do just about anything, except murder & even then, with enough money & the right attorney, you may be able to walk! Paris Hilton, example. Wait until she kills someone with her drunken driving!

For the most part, yes.... tho nothing human is perfect. There are flaws in the system... the persecution of the Lacrosse players or the railroading of those boarder guards for example... The Lacrosse players have been exonerated and declared innocent. Hopefully the boarder guards will eventually be cleared.

Yes, I think it works. There are some structural or institutional problems, of course, but I think most of the deficiencies with the US judicial system have more to do with the fallibility of man. Human beings can be bigoted, irrational, self-interested, and vengeful, and those biases pose a problem, but that's not unique to our judicial system. The US judicial system has some method for dealing with the fallibility of man, but there's only so much it can do.

Yes, and it is constantly under improvement, which is why it works. Free speech is a powerful and wonderful thing.

Keep it up. My father worked in the Justice System for years. The thing people think about the way our government works still stun him with the silliness he hears. Stuns me, too.

America ROCKS!

For the most part, it works very well. It is the best system of justice in the world, IMO.

Yeah, our system isn't the best, it could be better and stuff, but nothing is ever perfect, because men aren't perfect. Its still one of the best and just systems once you put the death penalty and stuff on the side.
